Several scientists visited the ISOFAR booth during the congress to discuss about organic agriculture research with ISOFAR board member Dr. Mahesh Chander, first from right.

India has a very high number of organic producers (>6,5000) and is a leading producer and exporter of organic products in the world. Still, this country has a high potential to do better in organic production, if research institutions and scientists in India engage in research projects dealing with various aspects of organic farming. Towards this goal, to make organic agriculture research popular among Indian scientific community, promotional efforts were made by ISOFAR board member Dr. Mahesh Chander by distributing the ISOFAR leaflets to the participants attending XII Agricultural Science Congress organized by National Academy of Agricultural Sciences at ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal during 3-6th February, 2015. The objectives of ISOFAR and benefits to members were explained by Mahesh Chander at the ISOFAR stand at the conference.
