About the 3rd ISOFAR Scientific Conference
The 3rd ISOFAR Scientific Conference will be carried out at the 17th IFOAM Organic World Congress in Gyeonggi Paldang, Republic of Korea. The International Society of Organic Agriculture Research has supported the idea to bring this important event for the first time to Asia, where almost 60 % of the world’s population live. High population densities and smallholder farms create a distinctive research context in particular for Organic Agriculture. The scientific conference will be coordinated by the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR) in cooperation with the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and the local organizers, the Korean Organizing Committee (KOC). The Korean hosts will offer an interesting and comprehensive overall programme that will also include excursions to organic farms and exhibitions.
