Dr. Alessandro Piccolo, is a professor of Agricultural Chemistry at the University of Naples Federico II in Italy. In 2020, he founded the Italian Society for Biodynamic Sciences (SISB), comprising professors and researchers from various Italian institutions. Together with his colleagues, he conducts research and experimentation to deepen our understanding of the biochemical and physiological mechanisms that underlie the effectiveness of the biodynamic method. Their aim is to explore the technical characteristics and procedural methods of biodynamic farming and to refine our understanding of soil-plant interactions, with the ultimate goal of establishing a scientific and ecologically systemic foundation for a paradigm shift in agricultural production.
